I coach

Image
Apparently just Dragons... The odd thing is, I NEVER, until we got Garrett's pictures back yesterday, ever ever realized that I have ONLY coached Dragons...

Somewhere Angela is twitching..

After reading this fabulous post from my dear friend about the ins and outs of boot shopping/wearing. I was determined to FIND myself some boots. First off I've never been a boot wearer, and would like to change that, they can be quite cute. Secondly, we will be in places of great coldness this Christmas, and need something to warm my tootsies. So I went to endless to find the "perfect boot", and try as I may, I keep coming back to these ones. I like them, I REALLY like them.

When I grow up.....

When I grow up I want to be a 12 year old boy. It must be great to know EVERYTHING there is to know about ANYTHING! It would be fun to be THAT much smarter than EVERYONE else in your family. A fore mentioned 12 year old boys knows his mom isn't nearly smart enough to know when he rolls his eyes at everything she says, neglects to finish his homework, or decided not wash his hair in the shower. If I was a 12 year old boy, I wouldn't have to study ( I already know everything remember) , I get to quiz everyone just to prove my brilliance. Doing dishes would be beneath me and in need of huge eye rolling. I could sit around CONVINCED that life is so hard and I have SO much responsibility because I'm expected to keep the top layers of mold cleared from my room, and study for an Algebra test. Plus if I was a 12 year old boy, the world is my buffet!! Anything not nailed down, even closely resembling a food product would be fair game. Yes yes when I grow up I want to be a 12 year ...

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!

I want to wish everyone a HAPPY HOLIDAY!! I'm not talking about Thanksgiving or Christmas here.. but the truly fabulous spectacular holidays that occur everyday, yet go seemingly unnoticed. HOWEVER, now that I have discovered this fabulous list , I plan to start celebrating these holidays as often as I can. It's a fun fabulous list of random holidays compiled by WHO KNOWS! I love it though. I was also excited to find out that I was born on "Cotton Candy day!" However I was married on "Blame Someone else day" hmmmm interesting, but then again my parents were married on "supreme sacrifice day" hehehehe I also found it interesting that election day fell on " Waiting for the Barbarians" day this year. Odd Now I am always looking for an excuse to have some fun, and possibly a spirit or two. So if you ever need a reason to celebrate, might I suggest you head on over to this handy little list, where you can discover fabulous holidays like .. ...

Sitting out

Image
As much as it pains me, I do believe that I will be sitting out the breast cancer 3-day this year. It seriously hurts my heart that I can't participate this year, but it looks like I will be taking the year off. Despite my best efforts, I have raised a whopping 65$. Unfortunately each walker HAS TO raise 2,200$ in order to walk. Beings that I am no where near that and only a few weeks away from the walk, it's not looking good. As much as it saddens me to miss it, I will be their as much as I can cheering on my friends Laurie and Dawna. My new (someday I will meet you in person) friends, "Walkers for Knockers", and ALL the amazing women and men who will be out there walking 60 miles, so that maybe one day we can rid the world of this horrible disease.

Coming out of the political closet..

Image
In general I am not much of a "campaigner". I chose who I think the best candidate for the task at hand is and vote accordingly. I generally avoid big political conversations. I'm not much of the button toting, shirt wearing, bumper sticker showing, sign waving type. This year however, a candidate invoked in me the courage and willingness to step out, and speak out on their behalf. So I am wearing promotion of this candidate with pride. A candidate that I know is moral, has integrity, is honest, and about the cutest things this side of the Mississippi.

Yeah.. I'm gonna say it too....

Today is a busy day for me. I have to get the kids to school, I have a boy who is a little under the weather. I have doctors appointments, commitments to the bread ministry, my house is a mess! I really should rent a steam cleaner! The dog needs to get his shots, I have so may things I have just GOT TO GET DONE today! First though, I'm going to VOTE! YOU need to go vote! Don't make excuses! YOUR VOTE COUNTS!! Let your voice be heard. If you hate the way things are right now. If you love the way things are right now. If your worried about finances, your children's education, health care, the planet. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE GO VOTE! VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE Your vote counts, it matters, and it could make all the difference in the world!
