What do you get when you hold 100 seven year olds, in one small classroom for 90 minutes, only to send them out on a stage?? You get tears, messed up curls, and some of the funniest pictures I've ever taken....

We spend 4 hours with our husbands in a uniform shop, followed by two hours looking for the right size of boot, because any time together right before a deployment is still time together. We try not to take the little things for granted for they become the biggest things when we don't have them any more. We stand in tears on piers, and are comforted and comfort women we've never met, because we all are feeling the same way. We cringe a little when people say "your so strong" because inside we are dying. The first day of school

I sit here still trying to figure out when these amazing little people grew. It baffles me that I now have a 7th grader, a 5th grader, a 2nd grader and a kindergartner. GASP GASP! Yes a kindergartner. :( I left a small chunk of my heart at Green Elementary School today. I almost didn't make it both there and back. This is the first time in almost 13 years that I have not had my kids at home with me. I am so very proud of them. Garrett had a great first day of school. While he is off experiencing all of his firsts.. First day at kindergarten. First new friends. (Not the mommy hand picked kind) First full day away. First school lunch. I'm at home experiencing a whole lot of lasts. I am no longer the mom of babies. Here is a bonus pic. Actually two. The first is The first day of school last year. A picture is worth a thousand AUUUGHHHHHHH

It is no secret that my eldest child hates and I mean HATES roller coasters. (and by roller coaster, I mean anything faster than a merry-go-round.. and actually it REALLY depends on the merry-go-round) Today was Tanner's birthday, and in honor of such, we went to Lego Land. Connor of course volunteered to ride the park bench, and wanted to go in the play structure with Nay Nay. The rides though, he wasn't horribly interested in. With a lot of coaxing from the girls, we did convince him to go on this car one, called "project X". Well I don't think he will be going on anymore any time soon. :) (click the pic to make it larger.. the look on his face is priceless!) ON the plus side for Connor though, he got enough white Legos while we were there to complete his WII Lego creation.
